OUR SPEAKERS
Fiona is the Child Safe Volunteering Hub Project Lead at Australian Volunteers International. She has worked in the international development sector as a child protection/safeguarding specialist for over 15 years, having previously worked at Save the Children. She is currently a member of the Great Ocean Road Health Board and was Chair of the Bethany Board of Management. Fiona started her career as a family and child/youth lawyer.
Proud Yorta Yorta woman, Sheena Watt is the Executive Manager for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Policy & Programs at AFL SportsReady. Sheena is an advocate for the public health, an Aboriginal engagement advisor and a Board Director. She is a board member VicHealth – The Victorian Health Promotion Foundation, Progressive Public Health Australia and the Victorian Council of Social Services (VCOSS). Sheena is also a member of the Clinical Governance Committee at Merri Health, Policy and Programs Task Group at Women’s Health Victoria and the Family Matters Campaign Leadership Group with SNAICC.
Recently Sheena was recognised as a Top 50 Australian Advanced Not-For-Profit Governance Leader.
