Today on the Take on Board podcast, I speak with Sally Davis about the relationship between the CEO and the board.
Sally is a consultant and she specialises in strategic planning, leadership and organisational development. She works with clients in a range of sectors including the arts, universities and the not-for-profit sector.
She’s got a fascinating background, Sally started out as a ‘connie’ on the trams. Of course, Melburnians will know what that means, but for those of you not in or from Melbourne – or too young to remember – it’s a conductor on the trams. She was also a tram driver!
She has worked in the community sector, in the educational sector in vocational education and training.
I met Sally when I was on my first board – the Community Services and Health Industry Training Advisory Board. And it just so happens we met during Sally’s interview for the CEO and she got the job.
This interview was sparked by a question from Laura, who asked a question in the Facebook group and sent in a voice memo. If you have a question you would like answered, please get in touch through the Take on Board Facebook group or drop me a voice memo. All questions welcome.
