Today on the Take on Board podcast I’m speaking with Penelope Barr about privacy and security in the boardroom. Penelope has previously been a director of The 100% Project – working towards gender equity in the workplace; and Hearts4Heart – a Health Board, focusing on the patient experience.

Penelope speaks startup and big end of town. With 25+ years’ leading local and global digital, technology, agile, product, innovation & transformation businesses, she’s motivated by solving complex problems.

As an Award-winning intrapreneur she uses a genuinely creative approach to generate business value and drive excellence. She’s been at the forefront of most major changes in digital, tech, innovation, product & data across fintech, legaltech, proptech, climatetech and enterprises. She’s worked in Tech for so long, she was part of the team creating NAB’s first Internet Banking solution, then National online trading, the first SMS messages, first online sales apps and progressed from there.

A connector of people, ideas, opportunity and things, she turns good ideas into great business and bring a new ways of working kitbag to create products, generate revenue, improve savings or return on assets. She applies analytical insight, thorough planning, rapid implementation and deliver in highly ambiguous situations.

She’s an author, advisor, mentor, coach and startup founder, passionate about making the most of her time she has been given.
