Today on the Take on Board podcast I’m speaking with Rachelle Towart about recruiting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to boards. 

Rochelle received her OAM in acknowledgment of her achievements in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership, governance and education. She is a member of the indigenous advisory board for infrastructure company Broadspectrum. She’s formerly a member of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment advisory committee at the University of Canberra, formerly the co-chair of the Prime Minister’s expert panel on the review of remote indigenous housing, and formerly a board member of Aboriginal Hostels and Ramallah Investments.

Today, she is the managing director of Pipeline Talent Recruitment, a 100% indigenous-owned recruitment company specializing in indigenous appointments. As the former CEO of the Australian Indigenous Leadership Center, Rachelle trained 1000s of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders and was recognized with a wide range of awards including Westpac community, CEO of the Year in 2014. And recognition as one of the Australian financial reviews Australian Women of Influence.
